What is a tallow soap bar?
Tallow is rendered beef fat — one of the oldest soap-making ingredients there is, used long before synthetic detergents existed. It is close in composition to the oils your own skin produces, which is why a tallow bar tends to clean without that tight, stripped feeling.
Ours is made with 100% grass-fed tallow and a short list of traditional ingredients. 113 g / 4 oz bar.
How to use it
Work up a lather in wet hands or on a loofah, massage over face or body, then rinse. A little goes a long way — you will not need to scrub.
Between showers, keep the bar on a draining dish so it dries out fully. A bar left sitting in water will soften and disappear far faster than one that gets to dry.
Is it right for my skin?
It is made for sensitive skin and is suitable for both face and body, so one bar can replace a separate cleanser and body wash.
It is not vegan or vegetarian — tallow is an animal fat. If you have a known allergy or a diagnosed skin condition, patch-test on a small area first, or get in touch and we will talk it through before you buy.
